If you mean Visa exempt 60 day, it's worthwhile noting that when I did it, I had 30 days given from the day of my extention stamp and NOT from the day my visa exemption expired - technically loosing a few days.

Other people told me they leave it as late as possible to maximise their stay !

For me it was my first extention and had to be done as my flight vwas cancelled whilst sitting on the plane !. I had 2 days left on my original visa exemption stamp.

I wanted a few extra days to sort out a new flight and to deal with a sickness bug I caught whist sitting on the tarmac for 6 hours waiting to take off !

Hope that makes sense.

this is normal tourist activity. You wont have any issues at all. From what I gather its people coming on visa exemptions and then extending. The first extention is 30 days and the 2nd just 7 days now making it 157 days. If you have no history of extensions and you have returned to your home country then 100% you will be given entry ! This is exactly what the visa exemption is for and Thailand wants you to spend your money in the country as a tourist. The problems arrive when people are trying to use the Visa Exemption as a means to live in the country, in which case a different 'paid' visa is required.

Yes. It's not a visa its a 60 days visa exemption for British passport holders but you do need to fill in a digital arrival card before you arrive, but no earlier than 3 days. :)

Believe what you want my friend but met my VIP rep at D5 which was pretty much next ro my arrival gate, stamped in 3-4 mins later at immigration (no line - same place as aircrew go) and with hand luggage only the car was waiting for me outside. Cost me B2900 including a taxi to the hotel. Only way I arrive Bangkok now and have done so every rime in the last 2 years (6 times).

It will class as an overstay I believe and you'll get a fine as well as having trouble getting back into Thailand in the future.

Personally I would fly out of the country on a cheap flight before your 90 days expire and then come back on a connecting flight to meet your original flight.

You could try and fly out and back again next day and get another 60 day visa exemption but you risk a refusal or questions asked at immigration.
