I’ve thought about this too. I’m worried that even if you get a 5 year DTV (soft power), what’s to stop them revoking it once your course ends? They might claim you don’t qualify unless you do yet another course.

I don’t have a bank account. I’d love one but haven’t tried yet. I did 6 months on exempt and I’m now on ED. Planning on doing the DTV after this. If it’s still around.

To buy stuff online I just copy and paste once and it’s done. Not very difficult.

I tried in google translate once but I know it was wrong because the subdistrict came out different. It’s mainly the soi and street. I’ve only lived at this address just over a month and before that I was on a tourist island so everything was easy. It’s not that big of a deal because I’ll just get the people in the office to do it for me.

I’ve never understood how they expect you to fill out your address in handwriting when it’s all in Thai 🤷🏻‍♂️ luckily I showed a kind lady at one of the desks the address on my phone and she filled it out for me.

Went to the atm today for the first time in a while and the charge was 250฿. When did it go up or is it just that bank?

Can anyone confirm this Schwab account refunds atm fees. Reading the TC it seems that it’s only for atms at a bank but wanted to check. Also how do people transfer to the Schwab account and do they encounter fees?

A. Nony Mous I’ve found that the atm that is used for deposits outside a bank does withdrawals as well. It’s runs a bit slower but I can normally withdraw 100,000baht at a time and still only 220baht fee. Hope this helps.
