Welcome to the new Thai-Tax system humans. They need the money. Thailand is in a desperate situations. The DTV does help the economy unfortunately it is no longer -FREE-Thailand (Phra-Tha-Thai = of course).
You likely have all this information already. just check your rental agreement. and additional paperwork attached. everyone should have submitted there IDs and signatures.
8 yrs. in Thailand. Never did a TM. myself - yes you have to report your address with the proper documents within 24 hours of moving (call that a tm.30 if you want (likely it is).
of course you can apply. Please only use the evisa portal. Tghe embassies are not equipped for this program (staff knowledge wise). and then just do some base research; who many people have applied from Spain, where is the closest embassy accepting applications for DTV near Spain, in Europe. A lot of people in the UK are getting approved within days. Yes, it is very easy from SEA, but its not impossible to do from any foreign country. Just make sure you can get to the interview if you are called in. But your location is not an issue unless 'it is'
This is to ensure your taxed if you over stay your 180 days 'tax exemption' you will be double taxed in certain countries. Please read the DTV tax policy very carefully..This is not a joke.
Yes, money has to be there for 3 months. That is 100% why you would be denied. 3 months of bank statements. It doesn't have to be in a Thai Bank account. Sorry, fail more.
