Thanks, Brandon. That was it, submitted it.

Thank you, so I thought. I may stay 2 weeks or first month) then come back to Thai while my initial 3 months visa (with one re entry and possible extension if needed) is still valid.

I have to use Japanese bank statement to get 90 days stay visa with which I can open a bank account with a Thai bank. Then, once I have that account, move 800K THB into it, leave the funds to season 2 months and then apply for O visa.

My Japanese bank has all the .pdf statements, for years.

800 tousands THB (like 40 K EUR) in your bank account, kind of assure Thais you are not a Australian bogan.

Millions of tourists from India descent to Thai.

Anyone asking them for the COVID vaccine certificates?
Jim *******
Probably not but the panic has not died out, what my Thai wife in Japan is telling me.
Jim *******
I had (the whole family) 4 COVID vaccines in Japan, the last one was October 2023. The vaccines are valid (reportedly effective) for one year.

Even with those 4, I am wondering if Thai require a more recent one.

Hope it has not gotten into that hysteria again.

Where did you see

"I just remembered the recent news that the initial stay period for visa-exempt entry got reduced from 60 days to 30 days" as a formality?

There was a story in Japan press about a Chinese woman who switched her left and right fingertips (ooouch, surgicaly, in China) trying to fool the Japan Immigration.

Since the story made it into the media, they got her.
