yes agree with that $300 for 60 day tourist visa.Ive booked to arrive Thailand early October so fingers crossed this 60 day visa exempt will be in by then.If all good by then will fly to DaLat Vietnam for the flower show then back to Thailand

Currently a 60 day tourist visa obtained from Thai embassy in NZ costs $300.Should the Thai govt bring into law this 60 day visa exempt scheme then why would you bother paying $300 for a tourist visa when a visa exempt entry will cost nothing,and if you can extend the 60 day visa exempt by 30 days then why would you pay $800 nzd for a 90 day non o visa based on marriage.Just my thoughts

That’s what I thought as well but my Thai wife’s sister has managed to get in twice and worked both times and is currently still working there,so I have no idea what sort of visa she has.

Hi Bob,To get a 60 day tv do you have to show an onward ticket at the end of the 60 days or have an onward ticket for 90 days. 60+30 extension

Medical and hospitals very expensive in Phillipines.I would imagine a lot of these alternate countries medical expenses would be very expensive unless you have medical insurance which once your over 60 the premiums are prohibitive
