I don't believe some of the ridiculous comments on this. Obviously by people who have no idea of overstaying and with regard to a comment, it's not worth risking a five year ban for a one day overstay, that is the most stupid comment I've ever read.

What a load of _ h _ _ e. A five year ban for overstay of one day. You should give up whatever it is you smoke. 😂

You can overstay by 24 hours and there'll be nothing held against you.

The 500,00 THB equivalent can be in your UK bank account, doesn't have to be in a Thai bank account. After one 180 day extension you have to leave/cross a border out of Thailand. Whether there is any stipulation as to whether you can leave and re-enter the same day is not known at the moment. What I'd do is go to the immigration office where you get your first 180 day extension and ask them whether you can re-enter the same day. It's Upto the IO., at the end of the day.

ok, thanks for your reply. The reason I asked about sponsor letter on the e-visa portal, at least in the UK it says sponsor letter and I was wondering what they mean by this. Will have to clarify it with the London visa Dept. When you say one month bank statement, I presume showing earnings from your remote job, yes?

Why can you hire a car from some car hire people, who in my experience albeit twenty years ago didn't even ask to see my licence, just presumed because I was a Westerner I would have one.

As usual on FB some people just like to make comments on subjects they have no knowledge on. 🤔

You make it sound easy, but for one you need a company, bank account statements going back, I don't know how many months, plus a sponsor letter. Is this correct?
