I’m getting my DTV in a month and got told to go to Bangkok to get my first stamp as Chiang mai can be a nightmare on your first entrance

 happened to me once mate

Went all the way to immigration in Samui and it was closed for 3 days

It was my first time in Thailand and I panicked like mad 😂

Just get yourself there the day it re-opens and you should be absolutely fine
