it's not the organisation that is telling me, and it's an organisation I have used many times before in Europe where you don't require a work permit to do voluntary work...

it's not a 'program', there are 3 main organisations worldwide that connect hosts with volunteers, who are unpaid but get bed and board.

But of course in Thailand the rules are slightly different...

You don't need the 800k if you use an agent or find a 'tame/bent' immigration officer (there are plenty running scams to get round the 800k requirements) Thailand is very corrupt and a cash bung solves many 'difficulties' but I didn't tell you that 🤣🤣🤣

just use an agent, they bypass the corrupt immigration service by charging you for their corrupt 'handling' of the Thai scams...
