I know a school in Phuket that will help you get license after you pass theory. Vaguely based on that you have license back home. Asked me if I wanted car as well but declined.

If you have any account in Europe I would use Wise or something similar. I stay away from Revolut after reading employee tales about how it is run.

Money is an option but I would change in Thailand but it depends on how much it is. There is limits to how much you can carry.
