Just arrived in Phuket this morning on Sandbox, the airport was packed, no social distancing whatsoever as 4 flights landed together. Came to the hotel now and they did that we have to wait to leave the room till we get the first negative result.
Questions:
1) How many hours does it usually take for the results to come in?
2) If you test positive, what are the choices you have? If the hotel doesn’t support quarantine then can you go to another hotel that does? Or hospital? Does anyone know any rates of hotels or prices between both, just asking in advance so can stay better prepared and more knowledgeable about it?
3) If you get a positive result who takes you or enforces everything?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Upon arrival in Phuket under the Sandbox program, travelers can expect a busy airport with no social distancing. Results from COVID-19 tests typically take around 6-8 hours, although some travelers mention waiting longer. If a traveler tests positive, they will be moved to either a hospitel or a hospital depending on their symptoms. If the initial hotel does not support quarantine, options exist to move to a hotel that does. As for costs, insurance may cover hospital stays but often does not cover hospitel costs. It is advisable to stay informed and prepared before traveling.
I arrived Phuket SQ728 10.30 yesterday, fairly straight forward with alot of girls to explain everything, left airport 11.30 which included swab test. No instructions at hotel check to stay in. Down load QR code swab company gave me and negative came at about 18.00. Not a bad experience at all and everything was understandable. I
I have been twice since October. 9 hours and 7 hours wait for result. I arrived on the London flight at 630 ish, so maybe a longer wait due to early arrival. A goode time for me to catch up on my sleep.
From comments here it’s approx 6-8 hours for the results. If positive but no real issues with symptoms then they move you to a hospitel. If you have symptoms or issues you’ll be moved to a hospital. Sorry no idea on prices. From what I see insurance won’t cover the costs for a hospitel, but may cover hospital.
