When one leaves Thailand to relocate to Europe: What is the best way of taking the money from a Thai bank account? Is transferring it to a European account through Revolut the best option? Take it all in cash and exchange? The latter might be really silly... Advice would be appreciated 🙌💚

TLDR : Answer Summary
When relocating to Europe and looking to transfer money from a Thai bank account, several options are available. Popular suggestions include using DeeMoney for direct transfers due to its quick service and competitive fees. Alternatives like Wise and traditional bank transfers are also mentioned, but some users caution that Wise may not facilitate transfers out of Thailand. Other methods include taking cash and exchanging it, although this comes with exchange rate disadvantages. For tech-savvy individuals, using cryptocurrency or services like Revolut can be considered, but the availability of these services in Thailand varies. Ultimately, the choice of method may depend on factors like the amount being transferred and personal familiarity with each service.
If you have a Revolut account already then why not a bank to bank transfer in Baht to that account? Make sure you’ve set up a Baht account under Revolut and use your regular IBAN to transfer from a Thai bank. I’ve paid from Revolut in Baht to a Thai bank account non problem so don’t see why it won’t work the other way.
Best way to transfer money out of Thailand is, Deemoney.

I have used Dee Money to Xfer money out of Thailand in the past. I transferred money on a Sunday and it was in my foreign account the next day. I believe that they charge a fee of 150 ฿ regardless the amount you transfer. However, their exchange rate is lower than the market rate and this is where they make their money.
as far as I know, the answer is yes. That's how I did it.

I tried to open Revolut account in Thailand andvthey put me on a waiting list at number 1545, I then found out that Revolut was not yet in Thailand ???? Is this true or do you have a Thai Revolut account ?
This for sure in my opinion would be bedt way to go and then if not then through wise

If you’re into crypto that is obviously the easiest way. Use binance p2p in Thailand to buy stable coins using your Thai bank account via transfer.

Direct transfer from bank as long as you can provide proof that you brought the money in

I only know of deemoney but have not used it. You cannot use wise or any other money transfer service for getting money out of Thailand

If you have any account in Europe I would use Wise or something similar. I stay away from Revolut after reading employee tales about how it is run.
Money is an option but I would change in Thailand but it depends on how much it is. There is limits to how much you can carry.
