just to add.... if you're coming from the states, it helps to have a friendly vet that will list your dog as a mix of some sort for the usda health certificate. Mine arrived as great Dane mix and whippet mix. It just gives less room for scrutiny.

And any 'pure bred' akc anything is subject to hefty import tax. Mix breeds are not.

Mine both came in (April 2025) via a Lufthansa flight Chicago-bangkok. I used agents at both ends (highly recommend doing this) cost was about $5k usd total for 2 dogs, one of them a great dane mix at 90+lbs. This is your best choice. The dogs get a layover in a pet hotel that checks their health before the 2nd flight. Safe for them, safe for you. Must go through special cargo, must use a pet taxi or your own car to get from bkk to anywhere else in Thailand.

Your son qualifies as a dependent on your dtv. His dtv approval should be quite easy.

If you're self employed, you just write the letter from yourself to yourself and add a link to your website and portfolio

if it's been less than 6mo since your entry, your health certificate should still be valid for travel. But beyond that, yes, too much hassle.

both work about the same currently. Moreta just allows an easier top up.

Yes, I'm in the same position. Dtv so no account. I have the tag Thai. Can only load at Maya or central festival. Only with foreign bills. And you can only scan to pay at major businesses. Doesn't work for local shops at all, or even to pay utilities. Very very frustrating. But, I find it's a nice back up for bringing additional money without having to carry cash or pay international fees.

I think you meant doesn't work. But I found it's easy to tell. The account must show the full account #. If there are any xxxx it will not work. Mostly it's for paying things that are corporate owned. It rarely ever works at a local vendor.
