Anonymous participant My spouse submitted my 3 months of bank statements and payslips, sponsorship letter, marriage certificate (original and notorized in English), and a cover letter. And then there’s the usual stuff like your passport pages and proof of stay

No I don’t think she will need an interview. My spouse didn’t. Approved within 2 days. Also at Vientiane

I got mine back in September in Yangon. It was not an online system back then but it also took only two days.

I wasn’t sure if the requirement was for $15,000 equivalent per family or per dependent (it seems to vary based on the embassy location) so just to be safe, I tried to show a balance over $30,000. I had him submit 3 months of statements from my bank account. While I was over the $30,000 threshold only for the last month, the balance was still way over $15,000 for the previous 2 months. I also gave my 3 months pay slips, wrote a sponsorship letter, and provided our marriage certificate.

My husband applied as my dependent in Vientiane last month. It was much easier and quicker than we had expected. Submitted on a Sunday, paid on Monday morning, got approved Tuesday night. No interview.

You can write a sponsorship letter for her and use the joint account statements. Include your marriage certificate. In our case, we had 1 million baht equivalent in the last month but not for all 3 months and we got approved within 2 working days in Vientiane.

You need to have your DTV first though

my spouse just got his dependent visa from Vientiane within 2 days. Applied Sunday evening, paid Monday morning, approved tonight (Tuesday night). Perhaps it’s quicker because it’s for dependents?
