Will I need to show 1mil baht on the statements? The bank accounts are joint.
I have my own business but and wife doesnβt technically have any income.
Should she just submit her own and use the joint statements?
Do I sponsor her?
Any help is appreciated!

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV visa for a spouse, it is commonly required to demonstrate 1 million baht in bank statements. You can utilize joint account statements with supporting documentation, such as a sponsorship letter and your marriage certificate. While it's suggested that each applicant theoretically holds 500k baht, practical experiences indicate that using joint accounts might suffice under your sponsorship, especially if your own DTV is already approved.
If you use the same bank account YES 1 million is expected in the account . If you use another account no or at least this has not been required. Dependend visas no need income to qualify as their visas are under yours presumably. But still EACH APPLICANT IN THEORY MUST HAVE 500k In an account to qualify for adjudication under DTV
You can write a sponsorship letter for her and use the joint account statements. Include your marriage certificate. In our case, we had 1 million baht equivalent in the last month but not for all 3 months and we got approved within 2 working days in Vientiane.
