I think though they will still honour the one night quarantine though... But who knows!

I'm not sure... In my case I paid 3800thb (end of December) the cheapest PCR test is apx 2000thb with

... And the transfer from airport would be (according to my invoice from AQ hotel) 1000thb... Instead of 35thb on the train. Making the accommodation about 800thb including food... Meaning I've lost just under 1000thb if they scrap the quarantine... I think my hotel has a refund policy until 5 days before travel but need to double check that one

To be honest even if they scrap the quarantine you'll still have to pay the covid test costs... You'll probably only end up losing out on a slightly more expensive hotel than you could have gotten and the airport transfer

Germany suddenly announced 3 weeks ago that from 22nd Nov you can do it online from Germany... So I was lucky... My trip starts Dec 28th

I just looked for the mail but can't find it... Probably deleted it. They told me that my flight has to start in the UK also and I couldn't apply from Germany :(
