Thanks John. I made a post about this very topic today asking about it. Some people said that it can't be done with the DTV. I'll give it a try. Did you have to upload your passport and proof of DTV? Thanks

thanks. But I only need the number once for the initial account setup right? I usually get tourist Sims each time I visit, so my number is always changing

thanks. I'm OK to use Wise for a bank account, but I'm mainly interested in being able to buy things with QR code, hence why I'm asking about TrueMoney in this post

I'm living in Japan, but am going back and forth to Thailand numerous times throughout the year, usually spending 4-6 weeks in Thailand on each visit, in various places, including Bangkok. But I don't have a long term lease anywhere, I just use various Airbnbs each time

Yes it's normal. And unfortunately the legal firm will not be able to do anything about it. The only thing you can perhaps do is try and negotiate some kind of refund of the fees you paid to the legal firm? But probably in their small print it'll say something like no refunds if rejected, but worth a shot, especially if they made some kind of mistake with your application / the advice they gave to you

I'd be interested to know that too. For me it was for remote working

I'm sorry to hear that. My DTV was approved in Tokyo, after a fairly brutal interview! I made a post about my experience, so you can search for that if you want to see more details about my experience

Passport and your DTV (best to print, but I have managed to show the QR code on my phone before)
