we have a little a bit more insight into the real benefits of tourism money, DTV visas like this, and how much tourism really helps the Thai person. Foreigners like to think it’s super beneficial, but it’s not as strong as they think.

The DTV is already being considered to change anyway, and there are some concerns from immigration about how long it will last.

Without question. Many don’t seem to know Thailand at all and are unlikely suited to staying here past a two week holiday

If you can’t figure that out by your embassy should you be really applying?

There are already some concerns within the government about it. So I would say it’ll change in the future

DTV holders are long stay tourists that’s all. They’ll still have to pay tax in their country and Thailand, and don’t get any rights in the country at all.

they do, but it doesn’t help as much as people think unfortunately. According to an economist I spoke with.

But I think there’s the social and community issue that is more against it. I know of some gov officials are too!

sure, it’s not difficult to understand why many of the community don’t want Thailand to be overflowed with DTV holders raising costs. Maybe you’re too triggered to understand. Why are you in Thailand? Spreading hate? Time to go home I think 💀

yes it’s true, but they spend a limited time here. DTV’s will saturate Thailand year round, look at Phangan and how that has been destroyed in recent years.

Tourists are fine, but too many westerners threaten to ruin or de fabric what Thailand is
