What are the experiences of applying for a DTV visa in Thailand?
Who has had their DTV visa approved? How hard / easy was it and what did you need to provide?
Answer summary
The DTV visa application experience varies among individuals, with reports of successful approvals through submitted necessary documents such as proof of remote work, financial stability (e.g., bank statements), and residence verification. For instance, one user applied in London and received approval within days after providing required documentation, including a certificate of employment. Others experienced similarly swift approvals without additional requests for documents after initial submission. Overall, having the correct paperwork appears crucial for a smooth application process.

I applied in London on a Wednesday evening with my remote work contract, proof of residence in UK and £11,000 closing bank statements. Thursday they asked for a certificate of employment which I uploaded on Friday. My visa was approved on the Monday. I arrived in Phuket last night and they asked me nothing, just stamped in for the 180 days. I have a 5 year history of covid amnesty, tourist, exempt border bounce by land, two ED visas and an 11 day over stay one year ago because of a passport problem. All good.
