The same apply to female expats and VN men too. There are ways around it though if the landlords or hotels really want to help under normal circumstances. Registering them in the same ASQ room is still impossible.

Not only foreign men. Vietnamese are not supposed to stay in the same room if they’re not married. Some wards are stricter than the others.

ID and proof of residence and a health certificate. Others might be able to tell you if you need other stuff as well as it’s been a few years since I got mine

Do you have a driver’s license somewhere else? Either way it’s not difficult but having one already make it even easier and cheaper

Is it worth sending electrical appliances from China to Thailand, and how can I accommodate different plug types and voltage requirements?

There’s import tax in Thailand so it might not worth it at the end. It depends on how you send your items.

I moved with a shipment and shipped a lot of my electrical appliances from China. The 3-prong China plugs don’t work with sockets in most places in Thailand. Everything else works just fine.
