In my adventurous and more youthful years, I rode motorbikes all over the world where I travelled, including Thailand and never took a formal motorbike or lessons. Driving here isn’t as bad as risky as some make out. I would never ride a motorbike in BKK but most other places, it’s fine.

applying at Patong is significantly faster and they’re not as strict with clothing. Mainly because it’s a small office just off the beach lol. Don’t pay an agent… The process will take you approx 20 minutes at Patong. Make sure you have your TM30 from your hotel.

yes my room did not look anything like the photos and paid 6000 for the privilege. But I was out after hours and out on the town. Returned tipsy enough not to remember the rest of the night lol. Out next day and into a decent place
