Same problem with a Laos marriage certificate. Had to go to Vientiane to get it stamped, then go to the laos embassy in bangkok to stamp the stamp. Ridiculous and actually meaningless. Business opportunity for a rubber stamp maker. 😂😂😂

Two things guaranteed to cause endless mostly useless discussion. Visas and football. For visas choose who you ask carefully. For football, you are stuffed. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Just done the same. Got a 12 month statement. 5 working days and 200 baht. Took it to immigration and no good. You have to ask for 12 months credit statements. Ie showing just deposits for each month. Charged me 500 baht but did it straight away. I have now opened a kasikorn just to receive money and transfer it to bangkok to spend. My kasikorn statement will be simple next time.

Best exchange is actually in a pharmacy there. Sorry I cant remember which one. I was very surprised when some family members took me there. Not as surprised as getting some official documents translated in an earthworm farm. Yes they exist and this one was in a residential street. My uk bank, natwest will not recognise use of their atm machines, but you can draw cash from a bank with a debit card and your passport.
