Theoretically withdrawing 25 times per year, $5 average fee per time, that's $125 in fees. For 40 years it's $5000. If a bank offers no ATM fees forever, then it's free. No extra effort. If one bank doesn't reimburse and another bank does, I don't see why not take the no fee bank.

Next time you could look for a bank in your home country that reimburses ATM withdrawal fees, then you don't have to worry about the fees.
