easier said than done. Depends what country you are from and what province you live in Thailand.
My local immigration won't accept my bank statements from Bangkok Bank, as proof, they insist on a proof of income certificate from my home embassy... But since the British Embassy only attend tea parties, they won't provide this.. So I need an agent
When I used to transfer to Krungthai, it was almost always instant. But Krungthai no longer allow me to transfer mor than 50,000 per transfer, out and transfers in aren't listed as International, so switched my monthly transfers to BBK
My monthly transfers to Bangkok Bank usually clear at 2pm, but can take a few days if there's a bank holiday... The longest delay was 4 days, so had to adjust my pocket money transfers by 5 days.... Been no problems so far.
Bangkok bank lists all international transfers as International, regardless of the reason selected in Wise app and transfers out are not limited to 50,000 baht
since changing to Wise, from transfer wise, it operates and is regulated as a bank, however, since they have no branches and do not lend money, it is classed as a online financial institution...
No problem getting certificate of residence if the hotel filed the tm30, but a lot of banks want a yellow house book, lease agreement or work permit, to open accounts... Started back in 2018
