So how do you get a residence certificate if you are just in initial short term accommodation (before finding/signing long term lease) - need to get one to set up bank account and get driver's license.

Thanks for the info. I will have to do same soon in HH. Couple of questions:

1. What is a visa endorsement letter and how do you get one?

2. Are you staying in long term or short term rental? We will be short term (a few weeks) rental initially until we decide where to long term rent and wonder if that is likely to cause complications for residency cert or other steps.

3. What did you have to do to get residency certificate?

pls do not promote this crap, just parroting WH. Do real research. Look up what the actual tariffs are, including the tariffs that the US was already imposing. And just because there may be a case for limited tariffs in strategic instances that's not what's happening here.

Unless they are ridiculously wealthy + lazy they would not do this. If they've worked hard for their $ they don't give up thousands of $ per year. If you think savings accounts provide a competitive return, good luck to you. I guarantee that the vast majority of wealthy pensioners would not do this.
