well, that depends on what's wrong with you. If it's cancer, you are put on a 2 week pathway. If its a gippy knee, yes, you might wait longer for the referral. I went to a GP for a complaint, got the invite letter for scan and endoscopy within 2 days, appointments 5 days later. A lot of utter nonsense in this thread, the same rubbish no doubt fed to Kev from Thailand, who instead had his bank account emptied by a Thai hospital, receiving pretty primitive treatment from doctors who did not speak English. All because someone told him he couldn't go back to the UK.

I suppose you have had experience of living in a developing country before (not just a holiday). Not everything is cheaper than the US. Gas is over $4 a gallon. Anything imported is expensive. As someone else said, don't burn your bridges. Another appropriate saying is the grass isn't always greener. Not sure many people want to go to Myanmar at the moment. Visiting is rather different from"relocating" in your original post. Maybe in Florida, relocating means taking a little holiday.

what? Jack in a career based on what you think Thailand might be like? What caused you to make the decision. Try a holiday first. You might not take to the food. Or the toilets.

Like importing a car. Costs getting to the docks and boxed up (FOB); unless you are sharing a container, that will be expensive. Shipping costs. Shipping insurance at 7% of FOB+Shipping. Duty based on all that, VAT based on that plus duty. Then in the UK, you need to pay to get it out of the docks, £100-200. For Bikes, the duty is 8% or 6%, depending if its above or below 250cc. As the bike is under 10 years old, you need a SVA, and for that you need a model report to show how that imported bike meets UK standards by being the same as the UK spec. This will narrow the price difference a bit. At the end, you will still have a grey import bike that will need to be declared as such for insurance purposes, and costing twice as much to insure, and half the value.

Why is it a hell hole, compared to, say, Morrocco? Too cold for you?
Andy **********
@Ayoub ********
So you are British, with Morroccan heritage, not a Morrocan. The UK is not a Hell Hole, no matter what Farage, himself a descendant of German immigrants, has to say about it. When people say that, they really have no idea what a Hell Hole actually is.

How come you have 30 day visa free? I thought you said you were Morroccan. Morrocan nationals need a visa to enter Thailand. Oh wait, you are a British citizen.
Andy **********
Then presumably as a Morroccan national, with limited experience of the world at large, you are already in Thailand on a visa. You entered as a tourist, but two weeks later want to change your visa status. I bet they say you need to go back to Morocco and apply for a fresh visa. Maybe try a few other countries to go on holiday first, with all the money you are making from Forex.
