So, firstly, I am already married to a Thai woman and have been coming to Thailand for years on visa exemptions (US citizen). Next year, I'm planning to buy some land in her name to start building our house. Before that, obviously, I will need a visa.

I started looking into the marriage visa requirements, but it seems nearly impossible to accomplish due to the under consideration time. I work 2 months on a vessel as an engineer followed by 2 months off.

I have been looking at the LTR and DTV. Mainly, my question is does anyone have any experience trying to apply for either of these based on remote work from another country such as I just explained? Or is this requirement limited to internet- based remote work?

For whatever relevance it may hold, I will be sending and can keep a moderate amount of Thai baht if it is necessary.

Thank you in advance for any insight.

I have decided to move to Pattaya, looking for Pros and Cons!

To get a long term Residency, I am willing to invest the required amount, need to know a cost effective Visa. How are the Medical facilities in Pattaya vs Bangkok?

How good/cost effective are the Medical/Health Insurance Providers?

I am informed that as an Expatriate I cannot buy a villa but can buy a Condo! Is that correct?

On the basis of investing in a Condo, can I get long term Residency?

I have a question about the investment visa that I cannot figure out the answer to online, so would appreciate anyone that has knowledge.

My wife and I have THB14M invested in 3 condos that are in joint names. We currently live in Hong Kong.

Can one or both of us apply for the investment visa, or should we have put all the properties in one name, and the other person applies for the dependant visa that can hang off the person who gets the investment visa?

Many thanks to anyone who may know the answer to this.

Hello beautiful people! I am a Canadian citizen who is interested in living in Thailand for the long term. I am seeking advice on my visa options.

I am approaching 50 years of age, so it opens up the O-X visa option. My question about this visa is, it is renewable after 10 years? Or do I have to plan for some other visa type after the 10 years (2 increments of 5 years) on this visa?

Similar question for the LTR visa option. I would qualify for wealthy global citizen options ($1m net worth, $80/year income for 2 years, $500k in investment in property). Is the LTR visa renewable after 10 years (2 increments of 5 years)?

Basically, I want to own real estate in Thailand and call it my long-term home. The elite visa is a chunk of money but if that's the best option for long-term stay, I would use it as the last resort.

Thank you for your time
