Question about getting an investment visa (the one that requires 10 million THB investments): it seems that obtaining this visa requires the applicant to already hold a non-immigrant visa. This seems like a catch-22 - how do I get the first visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry concerns the requirement for a non-immigrant visa to apply for a 10 million THB investment visa in Thailand, which presents a challenge since the applicant needs to obtain the first visa before qualifying for the investment visa. Comments suggest that the process involves applying for a Non-Immigrant visa at immigration in Thailand once the required funds are in place, followed by the possibility of a yearly extension after three months.

This is about the best information I found on the 10 million baht investment visa that wasn't written by a company hawking them to foreigners as a way to stay

I believe that once all the monies were in place a Non-IM visa would be applied for at immigration inside Thailand and then after 3 months the normal yearly extension of stay.
