TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus is that purchasing a condo in Thailand does not directly affect eligibility for a long-term or resident visa. Several commenters clarified that ownership of property is unrelated to visa status; one must still fulfill specific visa requirements. Some mentioned that while condo purchases may not facilitate a visa, there are investment visas available, though these have particular conditions, such as purchasing from approved developers.

Purchase of a Condo has absolutely nothing to do with your visa, so no just buying a Condo will not guarantee you a visa of any kind, you still must meet all the requirements for the visa you are applying for or extending.

A few complexes advertise a free "elite visa" but its just rolled into the sale price. Same rules will apply.

You could look at an investment visa but condo purchases have to be from the developer and pre approved

That program ended many years ago.

Purchasing a house or condo does not give you an advantage for a long term visa. Like Paul Light said you can still get a visa regardless.

visas and condo purchases are 2 different things.

you can get a Long term visa without having to purchase a condo

Owning a condo has nothing to do with your visa.
