Hello. I want to know if somebody else had the same issue: I'm in the USA with a J1 visa which expires in January, when I pretend to go to Thailand.

I already made the e-visa process, but they sent me an email saying that a U.S. permit must be valid for at least 6 months, but my permit goes until January. I won't come back to the U.S. after my trip to Thailand.

Somebody else had the same problem? What was the solution? I have tried to communicate with the embassy but don't have an answer.

Thank you for accepting me. My girlfriend who I plan on marrying is from Thailand. We meet here in the states as she was a J1 at the Marriott in Florida. We are looking for advise, tips and more to help us along the way. I will be traveling to Bangkok early I'm 2020. Has anyone gone thru the paperwork to get a no obligation rule for their J1 towards a K1 visa? Thanks in advance!!
