Quick question on Non-OA visa.

Is the validity period to enter Thailand still 90days from issuance?

The LA consulate website only states "to not apply too early".

Just trying to plan the timing of pulling together required documents (background, bank, doctor note, etc.)

Thanks and Happy New Year to all!

So apparently I can obtain and O-A visa 12 months from Thai embassy in Canada. This allows you to keep your money in a Canadian bank or invested here which makes more sense.

My goal is to have multiple entry which it does (outside COVID issues). I need insurance with O-A which I would get anyway. I want to ensure there are no retrictions for renewals etc if I want very long term, as in retirement permanently.

My question: what are the advantages or disadvantages of a O vs O-A I need to be aware of?

Anyone has a clear picture regarding non-B on amnesty in Thailand. What's likely to be compulsory for visa run when borders open? Head of local immigration said health insurance not compulsory for non-B. Quarantine for a border bounce seems daft, but if required, can't we self-isolate in our own house? Any of you read clear answers in your crystal balls? 🙄
