TLDR : Answer Summary
This discussion revolves around the requirement for a bank letter needed when renewing an extension of stay based on retirement in Thailand. One commenter suggests that by visiting the bank branch with the bank book and requesting an immigration letter, the staff will understand the request. Another comment points to a specific link for an example of a letter that confirms 12 months of foreign deposits.

No idea which bank letter you refer to, which bank you are using, but if you walk into your branch with your bank book and you ask for the Immigration letter, they will understand. This is an example of a letter with the 12 months foreign deposits,
