Has anyone tried using an official balance letter from your bank as a replacement for an official statement?
I'm traveling to Taipei on Monday to apply, but found out today that my official monthly statement (for September) might not arrive until the end of next week.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Many expats have successfully used an official balance letter from their bank in place of a traditional bank statement when applying for a visa in Taipei. Although it is generally recommended to provide your most recent bank statement along with any balance documentation, experiences suggest that using a balance letter can be accepted as proof of funds. It's advisable to bring both the latest statement and the balance letter, as responses and requirements may vary.
I do not. The money was transferred from an investment account that does not generate traditional statements. I may have to wait until the end of the week when my official statement arrives. I was was just hoping to apply sooner and that someone had luck using an official balance letter in lieu of not having an official statement.
