TLDR : Answer Summary
A guarantee letter is a document that confirms your employment and states that your company permits you to work remotely from Thailand. It typically requires a wet signature and may need to include information about your employment contract. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate sufficient savings (at least 500,000 THB) in their name or have someone provide a deposit in a Thai bank. Be aware that you will likely need to file a tax return in Thailand and may be subject to Thai income tax on earnings.
Is basically a confirmation that you are employed there and that the company has no problem with you living in Thailand

A bit cryptic, indeed. Did you submit proof of sufficient savings (at least 500k THB) in your own name? If not, maybe they want your company to vouch for that. Hard to tell. Best to contact them and ask.
Maybe just send them an extra letter with company letterhead to confirm your existing contract and explicitly mentioning that you are free to work remotely from Thailand - with current date.
drop a mail to Thai embassy and ask Checklist of all documents at once.
Otherwise lot of to and fro will happen.
Because no where its mentioned that DTV require guarntee letter

... and someone has to provide you with 500k baht deposit in a Thai bank. Also be aware that you will be required to file a tax return in Thailand, and you may well have to pay Thai income tax on money which is brought in. Check the DTA of the remitting country.
so according to you someone that applies for a visa in an embassy somewhere in the world that has never been to Thailand will have to money in thai bank account? How irrationally silly is this? It’s like applying for a Schengen visa as a Thai and having to have proof of funds in a EU bank……
