Two questions. I'm going to Hanoi to apply for the DTV. I'm a freelancer, with short term/project contracts. 1) Is a letter from clients confirming I'm a freelancer enough for the work certificate requirement? 2) I note some freelancers go the soft power route. Any recs for a Chiang Mai cooking school that meets that the DTV requirements? Is that the easier route?

What is the easiest route for soft power DTV approval?

My preference is the cookery classes, I understand you have to book a 6 month term to be approved? Does anyone have any reliable and affordable cookery places? Preferably in Bangkok or Chinag Mai?

And will a 6 month class suffice for the entire 5 year Visa?

Thanks!

A follow on from my recent post as I am now going down the route of a Thai cooking course under the Soft Power option. Is there anyone in the group who has gone down the same route and found a reliable cooking school in Chiang mai who participate under the government scheme.
