Has anyone been to Vientiane or Suvannaket today to apply for an Ed visa? I will be going in a couple of weeks and I just got a call from the languge school I will be joining to say that they are not issuing ED visa to anyone that is enrolled in a languge course for longer than 4 months (my paper work is shows 9 months). They have been turning potential students away at both locations today. They said 4 months max then an exam before an in country extension. Any news would be helpful as I may need to change my travel plans

Heading to Suvannaket think ive to get a visa and stay a night or think i can go back same day?..is there much hotels near the boarder will be good to see a new place i suppose
