What are the latest updates on applying for an Ed visa in Vientiane or Suvannaket?
Has anyone been to Vientiane or Suvannaket today to apply for an Ed visa? I will be going in a couple of weeks and I just got a call from the languge school I will be joining to say that they are not issuing ED visa to anyone that is enrolled in a languge course for longer than 4 months (my paper work is shows 9 months). They have been turning potential students away at both locations today. They said 4 months max then an exam before an in country extension. Any news would be helpful as I may need to change my travel plans
Summary so far
A user inquired about recent experiences applying for an Education (Ed) visa in Vientiane or Suvannaket, mentioning that their language school stated they cannot issue Ed visas for courses longer than 4 months. They expressed concern about potentially needing to adjust their travel plans due to this policy change.
