You cannot apply for your first Extension of Stay (EOS) on a Non-O visa just 40 days after entering Thailand. The earliest you can typically apply for an EOS is 45 days before your current visa expires, and some immigration offices, including those in Chonburi and Pattaya, may allow you to apply up to 30 days in advance. It is also essential that any funds required for the visa are seasoned in your bank account for at least two full months.
