TLDR : Answer Summary
Upon arriving in Pattaya from Phuket, registration with immigration may be required. Although it seems you haven't done this before, the current regulations are tightening. It's advisable to file the TM.30 form (notification of alien in residence) if you might need to visit the immigration office in the future; if not, you might not have to register immediately.

They are getting tougher and tougher on foreigners filing the TM.30 (notification of alien in residence) form down there.

The real question is while you're there are you going to have any reason to go to the immigration office for anything? If not, you're fine not doing it. IF you will need to go at some point, then go file the TM.30.

, yep it's the one used at all the offices. Make sure you print it on two pieces of paper it's a two page form.

, he definitely got stamped in wrong (it happens quite a lot) and he needs to go to the immigration office to get the stamp corrected BEFORE he leaves the country.

It is the responsibility of the passport holder to make sure they were stamped in for the correct amount of time. :/

@Ant***
, nope, the people who stamp you in and out of the country at passport control don't care if you or the place you stayed filed a TM.30.

I won’t be going to immigration for any other reason. Will not not have any problems coming home?
