I’ve noticed quite a few DTV application rejection due to incorrect personal information—specifically in the “Place of Issue” section.
It seems that many applicants are entering the name of their countries passport in this field, when in fact, it should be the EXACT wording shown under the “Place of Issue” or “Authority” depending on your counties passport.
In all my previous visa applications for Thailand, I’ve always entered what’s written under “Authority” rather than simply listing the country name, and I’ve never had any issues.
I think it would be helpful to clarify this once and for all to prevent others from making the same mistake—and potentially losing money as a result.
Can anyone else who has successfully applied for the DTV visa confirm if this is correct?
