Hello

As a french if I run out of visa on the 21st of december and I want to stay longer in Thaïland, how many days would I win if I go for a visa run on the 22nd of november in Ranong to Myanmar border ? (30 days more from the 21st of december or 30 days more from the 22nd of november (which would be pointless in that case...)?)

Thank you

Hi wanted to mention Quees Victoria Inn on Soi 6 did a great job yesterday orchestrating a quick visa run to Penom Phen Cambodia for a quick in and out exchanging my tourist visa stamp to my new DTV one that got approved almost two months ago. I'm sure some could have figured out how to drive themselves there, but I was more concerned with not wanting to spend a night or more there if I didn't have to. Queen Vic got 7 of us there and back by 2:49pm comfortably. It seemed like the first time the Immigration lady saw a DTV printed out as she asked me how much I had to pay for it.

Hi. I’m currently in Thailand now, have a 6 month rental. I am enquiring with someone about getting an educational visa. I only want to be here 6 months, I’ve been here 1.5 month currently. Am I best to get the educational visa or extend my 60 day visa by a further 30 days, do a visa run and spend a week in Malaysia for example, then return? Will I be able to get another extension when I return? So that I can spend a further 60 + 30 days here. I am happy to get the educational visa but I am just weighing up options as I only intend to be here 6 month in total. Thank you

Hi there,

we have a daughter who is in overstay due to hospitalisation, she is less than 2 yrs old.

She has to do a non o visa linked to her mum visa (she has work permit).

I am wondering if my daughter could do a visa run, via tachilek or lao border, possibly in the same day.

I have been told that in Lao that wont be possible as we might need at least one or more days to stay.

I am not sure if they will allow us to do in one day just presenting her situation.

Anybody knows how to deal with it the quicker?

Sawdee ka, does anyone got the following experience:

1. apply for the DTV at home

2. than come to Thailand with a 60 days „Visa“ on arrival.

3. Than got the DTV via E-Mail

4. Make a visa run to Myanmar in Ranong and got the DTV stamp at re-entry?

or

5. just got the stamp for the DTV at Immigration office in Ranong (like a visa extention, instead of going abroad)

Thank you very much in advanced

Khop khun ka🙏

— visa run to Laos from Chiang mai —

Anyone know the company that takes you by bus to Laos and back for a visa run? My foot is broken and seems like the best way.

Can’t remember the contact for it

This might have been asked before but i searched and could not find the answer.

If I apply for DTV e-visa in my country, still waiting for answer but my flight is coming up.

Is it ok to enter on the 60days exempt and then do a visa run after 60days re-entering with DTV?

and can it be at a border or do I need to fly out and back?

A quick question about a visa extension. I entered Thailand at Chiang Mai airport (from the US) on Aug. 22, 2024 (after the visa regulations were changed). I received a 60-day stamp on arrival, and then I extended for another 30 days 30 at the Chiang Mai Immigration office on Oct. 20.

My current visa expires on November 21. I will need to extend my visa to have time to process the paperwork for my work visa (teacher). I have read several pages on this, but it is still unclear what the best option for an extension or renewal would be.

One option is to go to Vientiane and apply for a 60-day tourist visa. However, I also read (or perhaps misread) that I can go into Vientiane, stay overnight, and come back into Thailand ( I am planning to fly in and out of Veintiane) and get a new visa stamp on my passport (I think for 60 days?).

The first option sounds like the correct one, but the second option is the easiest.

I would very much appreciate any clarification that you anyone can provide.
