TLDR : Answer Summary
If you're planning a visa run to Mae Sai from Chiang Rai, it's important to note that you cannot secure a visa there. Instead, you may receive a 30-day visa exemption, a 60-day entry stamp if you hold a multiple entry tourist visa, or a 90-day stamp if you have a multiple entry visa. Make sure to check if you have previously extended your 30-day visa exemption before going.

Have you extended the 30d visa exemption yet?

You can not get a visa in Mai Sai. You can only get another 30 day visa exempt, OR another 60 day entry stamp if you have multiple entry tourist visa, OR another 90 day stamp if you have a Multiple Entry visa.
