TLDR : Answer Summary
The question discusses the possibility of conducting a same-day visa run from Thailand with a multiple entry tourist visa. Responses clarify that while you can't process a visa application on the same day at a Thai embassy, a 'border bounce' is feasible if you fly to a nearby country and return the same day, though there are risks of being questioned at immigration. Recommended destinations for such trips include Da Nang, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Vientiane, but several comments suggest staying a few days to avoid complications.

Do you still need border bounce?

Well as you want to return same day just choose the cheapest - what does it matter where u go if u return at spot ? METV myself you can go in and out land/air no restrictions or concerns. But why the rush - just stay a few days and breath in another culture.

Singapore

Don't. Stay at least 2-3 nights and still they will question you in the airport. Chances of stamping in will still be high unless you're blacklisted before etc

Nearest looks like Vientiane

Go KL or anywhere in Malaysia or Singapore

If you have a valid multiple entry tourist visa then yes, you can fly to another country then stamp into it, turn around and fly back. You can't just stay airside, you must pass through immigration and receive a stamp.

Da Nang in Vietnam but spend some time there as Hoi An is wonderful and cheaper than Thailand

Hoi An is a rip off, I lived in Danang for over 8 yrs keep away from the tourist areas very simple but hard to do if you don't know any locals or the area.

Why is it a rip off?. Food is cheap, drink is cheap, it costs nothing to walk around but bike rental also cheap 🤔

what do you call cheap, and do you pay just to cross the old bridge just to get into old Hoi Anh town , have you tried to buy anything there , you might think it's cheap but you will find with local knowledge you can most likely get what your looking for in Danang for many Dongs less, I lived 400 mtrs from My Khe beach paid 3 trieu a month for a simple 2 bedroom viet house with western bathroom and kitchen ,where as many thay paid double or more just for a room in some flash share house etc etc , how much you pay for a can of Larue or Tiger, how much you pay for a banh mi, Cafe sua da ??, tell me please

I think any tourist area is expensive or in general being a tourist compared to locals...even in the states you pay more as tourist than locals 🤣

I cant remember what i paid but remember it being cheaper than Thailand. Sure if you go in run down areas you can buy cheaper but thats the same the world over. I think you are forgetting how nice Hoi An is.

You can't do a visa run and return the same day because no Thai embassies process visa applications the same day.

It's possible to do a border bounce and return the same day, but you're only going to be able to do 2 or maybe 3 before you're pulled out of line at the airport and asked what you're doing abusing tourist entries and trying to live in Thailand without a proper long term visa.

you should be fine leaving and returning same day. Most likely won't have any issues but it's not guaranteed.

thanks do you know the cheapest destinations per air?

@Jana *****
like Graham said you need to take into account visa costs as well. Places like Singapore you probably won't need to pay for a visa but many other places you will.

also consider the destination and whether you need to purchase a visa before deciding then use Google flights for the cheapest flight prices
