TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thai Bronze Visa, known as the Elite Visa, has its pros and cons, especially in light of the recently released DTV visa. Commenters point out that the DTV is significantly cheaper, reducing the appeal of the Elite Visa for budget-conscious expats. While some see the Elite Visa as a hassle-free option, others believe it is no longer a wise choice amidst changing living circumstances in Thailand. Personal financial considerations greatly influence whether the Elite Visa makes sense for individuals.
If you have the money to lose forever ….then elite is a good less hassle visa ….but if your just an average income guy it’s not a good use of your budget. I hold the basic elite visa which expires in June 26…I won’t renew for the same reasons to rent, not buy. Thailand is changing rapidly and may not be where I want to spend a majority of my days anymore. If you hold into your money you have choices unless your really loaded
There's no reason to get one anymore now that the DTV is released. There's a reason they dropped the price shortly after. No one is buying them anymore because the DTV is so much cheaper. Obviously the price IS the con, and the reason it makes no sense to get an elite visa anymore.
