I’m trying to get my head around all of the different types of visas available and which one would best suit me? In all of the discussions, on this forum, I haven’t read anything about the Thai Elite Visa.

Qualification appears quite simple?

Or, am I missing something?

What are the qualifications for Thailand Elite Membership?

The applicants must meet and maintain the following qualifications:

Holder of a foreign passport

Being allowed to stay in Thailand in accordance with the immigration laws, which means the applicant has no overstay record in Thailand

No age limit is required for this program.

Not having been sentenced by a judgment to imprisonment in any country except for an offense committed to negligence

Not having been adjudicated bankrupt

Not having been declared as a person of unsound mind, incompetence, or quasi-incompetence

It seems Wise is taking longer and longer to transfer "Funds for Long term stay in Thailand". Last month I made my monthly transfer and it had taken a few days.. In the middle of the month I had to make another transfers, they quoted me 1 week. I just made my monthly transfer and again they quoted me one week. I immediately transfer funds for "travel expenses" and its there in a few minutes

Anybody else have this experience?

Best visa option for a family of 4 looking to relocate to Thailand (Phuket initially) from Colorado, USA in July/Aug this year?

- We will be traveling to other parts of Asia while we are there. (We won’t know where in advance of entering for the first time.)

- We wil stay at least 2 years, perhaps longer.

- We will likely enroll our kiddos in an international school. They will be heading into 5th and 6th grade.

- we will not require a work visa
