Hi everyone 🙂

I’m a freelancer with two long-term clients, planning to apply for the DTV visa in Laos (Vientiane), and would appreciate some advice:

1. I’ve had over 500K in my bank account for more than 3 months. The account mainly shows incoming payments and almost no expenses, since I only use it to receive funds and occasionally transfer to investments. I also had a recent one-time payment from a third client for work done outside Thailand. Could this raise any issues? Do I need to document that one-time job, or can it be ignored?

2. I’m a tax resident in Panama, where freelancers don’t need a registered company, and there is no specific freelancer registration paperwork I can present. I only have tax declarations, invoices, and contracts. Is this usually sufficient?

3. Do I need remote-work approval letters from all clients, or are there accepted alternatives?

4. For translations: do all documents need to be translated into Thai, and are machine translations acceptable?

Thanks a lot for your help 🙏
