Per Thai immigration I live in a unique timeline (yes I know what the Thai says but still, I may have a case for an eternal multi entry)

Hi, I have a Multi Entry Non Immigrant O/A Visa, based on retirement purposes.

I went to my local immigration office today to find out what are the requirements to extend my visa for 1 more year prior to lodging my visa extension.

I was told that, "because I have a Multi Entry visa" If I left the country and returned again before my visa expires that I would be stamped in for 1 more year. (I also showed them my health insurance is paid for another year)Then I was told to return to them to let them know my current address, and then I would have to visit then in November next year for another 1 year extension.

Can anyone confirm that is true and correct?

Thanks in advance.

Its that time of year again for me. The annual trip to Savannakhet for a Multi Entry Non Imm O based in marriage.

Have the required documents changed at all? I believe now 400K baht is required to be seasoned for 2 months?

- Savannakhet specific applciation form

- Two passport photos

- 5000 THB application fee

- Copy of rose-bordered marriage certificate, both sides, signed by wife and me

- Copy of Kor ror 2, both sides, signed by wife and me

- Copy of wife's Thai ID signed by her

- Copy of wife's housebook signed by her

- Copy of my passport biodata page signed by me

- 400K baht in bank statements

I'd also like to ask if the same visa is available at Vientiane Loas with the same requirements. I used to used Savannakhet as the 400K banked funds was not needed, but Vientiane is much closer.

I am on a multi entry 60 visa, I am from the Untied States. I did the initial 30 extension, that cost 5,500 baht using a service. Been here 90 days on the September 1st, so I need to leave the country and come back to start the next 60 days. They said it cost another 5,500 baht for the van to Cambodia and back. Is this the normal rate- I’m in Pattaya, this is my first time here.

Whatsup guys I’m thinking of moving to Thailand at the end of this year wondering what my best option is for visa im nowhere near 50 for retirement I was thinking of doing an ED visa to test things out but I hear it’s hard to renew that visa after it’s done anyone have any experience with this? The elite visa is an option but I feel like there are better things I can spend the 25k on. I hear it’s hard for some people to get the elite visa after doing an ED visa.

Good morning everyone. I entered Thailand on the 30th of August on an Multi Entry OA Retiree Visa. My first in person 90 day report at Chang Wattana Immigration Division 1 Government Complex is due by the 29th of November. I will be flying back to America for the Thanksgiving holiday on the 24th of November returning home to Thailand on the 5th of December. Does my 90 days start over on the 5th of December or would it be wise to do my report prior to departing on the 24th of November? Also do I need to do anything at Suvarnabhumi before my departure with immigration or because I have a multi entry visa will I be ok to just fly out and return no problem? I do have my proof of health insurance coverage along with my visa approved letter for my return. Thank you for all your help, I appreciate it!!!

Hello, I'd be travelling in with my education visa for the first time. I was advised that after 90 days, I'd have to apply for an extension and also to request for multi entry, since I'm only granted single entry at the start.

Unfortunately, after coming in with the duration visa, I have to leave 2 weeks later for 2 months for business and holidays. If I apply right after I enter, would it be possible to get it without waiting for the full 90 days to be over?

Greetings!

First of all, I would like to thank you for your help so far, especially Brandon who helped me the most with information.

I have a few questions regarding the Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai woman.

I'm planning to go to Savannakhet to apply for a Non-O visa, but I'm still undecided whether it should be a multi-entry or a single-entry visa.

Does anyone have experience of getting a single entry visa from Savannakhet multiple times in a row and extending it here in Thailand for 60 days, based on visiting a Thai wife?

That would give me 90 days + 60 days without having to leave Thailand.

That is, it would mean that every (about) 5 months I go to Savannakhet, get a single entry visa and extend it here for another 60 days.

Is it legal and could it be a problem with Thai immigration if I do it multiple times in a row?

I don't want to do a 1-year extension, because right now I can't afford it and I've invested the money in something else.

Regarding the multi entry visa, most of the things are clear to me, my question is about the following:

When I enter Thailand, I will get a stamp for 90 days of allowed stay in the country. If I leave Thailand before that "permitted to stay" date, can I re-enter again immediately after one day, or do I have to enter only after the "permitted to stay" date on the previous stamp expires?

Also, can I exit and enter Thailand on the same day?

Thank you.
