Hi, I have a Multi Entry Non Immigrant O/A Visa, based on retirement purposes.
I went to my local immigration office today to find out what are the requirements to extend my visa for 1 more year prior to lodging my visa extension.
I was told that, "because I have a Multi Entry visa" If I left the country and returned again before my visa expires that I would be stamped in for 1 more year. (I also showed them my health insurance is paid for another year)Then I was told to return to them to let them know my current address, and then I would have to visit then in November next year for another 1 year extension.
Can anyone confirm that is true and correct?
Thanks in advance.
TLDR : Answer Summary
If you hold a Multi Entry Non Immigrant O/A Visa based on retirement, you can extend your stay by exiting and re-entering Thailand before your visa expires. This will grant you a new entry stamp for an additional year, assuming your health insurance is valid for that duration. You need to update your local immigration office with your current address and keep in mind that after your visa expires, you will require a re-entry permit for subsequent travels.
