TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about places to obtain the NON-O Multi Visa based on marriage. It highlights Savannakhet and Ho Chi Minh City as possible locations, with additional mentions of Penang and Kuala Lumpur. Current requirements include financial proof for multiple entries, confirmed by comments indicating that all cited locations require this documentation. You can see the reason why we always say that provide all details including your nationality and where (which embassy/consulate/immigration office) you apply for what you want.

Please consider again before posting, not only OP, but members who want to comment.

Thank you, everyone.

Savanakhet you need to book a appointment.

I like to know if someone did it in Ho Chi Min. It's a very short distance from the airport.

there are almost no reports of anyone post covid getting a year/multi- from HCMC, in fact I could only find one report of someone getting a 90 day single entry Non-O there 😕 I think it's a "go and find out" sort of thing

Penang or KL Malaysia

, they don't issue Multiple Entry Non-O based on marriage to a Thai. Single entry only.

@Ellie ******
ah! I didn’t know that either. Thanks for clarifying.

I am sure Penang still does. I was offered multiple entries in February this year but I opted for Single Entry. I had to show the 400K of 6 months to be given the multiple entry option.

But I have also heard from many that if you don’t show proof of funds, you’ll only be given 3 months.

But then again, I have a Malaysian passport.

Was the 400k in Thai Bank account to be offered multi entry?

they said they are MALAYSIAN, and were applying in Penang Malaysia, <- as ellie stated Penang won't issue year/multi to people who aren't malay or long term residents of Malaysia

Yup, I'm Malaysian too... Just trying to figure out if there's any benefit to applying in Penang (like funds not necessarily in Thai bank) vs just doing it in Thailand.

, now I see the reason. okay, my comment was not enough. They don’t issue multiple entry non-o to foreigners who don’t have legal residency in Malaysia. They issue only single entry Non-o based on being married to those.

@Ellie ******
does that mean since it’s only a single entry that you don’t need to show 400k thb in an account?

, depending on embassy/consulate, most requires you to show the proof of funds for Single Entry Non-O based on marriage to a Thai, too.

@Ellie ******
I was thinking Penang as they have been the most lenient in the past?

Ellie stated those who are still issuing the Non O Visa as Married to Thai.

See her Post reply above. And look at the Thai Embassy or Consulate websites for their requirements.

I don't see the benefit over applying for an extension inside Thailand any more, the financial requirements are the same

some people are busy and don’t want to deal with the “under consideration” period.

@Philip ***
that's about the only reason I can think of

Savannakhet, HCMC, and Yangon are still issuing Multiple Entry Non-O based on marriage to a Thai. ALL require financial proof for multiple entries. Check detailed requirements with them.
