The person posting that this is an image from the animal cargo bay of a commercial airline, is trying to mislead people. As you can see from the photo this is not from one of the large passenger airlines. You can see the area is small and see the curve of the walls. Please don't be fooled by misinformation.

Lin Hui, the last remaining Panda in the Chiang Mai zoo died this morning. Anyone who has a Thai drivers license can see Lin Hui at the bottom right of their license. She was very famous and well respected in the country. Rest in Peace Lin Hui.

Recommendations for Pet euthanasia services in Chiang Mai? (sorry, not an immigration issues, hopefully it falls into the 'anything else' catagory!?)

Found a puppy lying on the road (mother and other pups were up on the bank and all looked healthy. The puppy didn't look physically harmed, just scruffy and sickly compared to the other puppies.)

So we picked it up and took it to a local vet, turns out the puppy has distemper (usually fatal for a puppy, although she is in 200% better shape today than she was yesterday.)

Anyway, decided that we would look after her for a week and see if and how well she recovers, and if she seems to be getting better we will nurse her back to health until she tests negative and is able to go to a local shelter.

If she gets worse, then I guess we will need to look at the sad alternative. I know that most vets will not offer these services in Thailand because of their beliefs.

I've been reading something from 2010 or so about Dr. Nook (which is still operating, but not sure if they still offer this service, as I can't find a more recent review than 2010 ... anyone know if they still do this service, or any other places around Chiang Mai that does?)

Thanks
