This is our resident "Dr Doolittle" vet in HCMC, he's nursed many baby birds to adulthood. This one isn't as young as yours, but you can get the idea.

Wow, so young. It needs to be kept warm and fed some small worms, insects, maybe chopped/crushed with a bit of water, like the parent regurgitates it. Get a box and make a big, puffy nest out of toilet paper and put him in the middle. Probably some fluids too, but I'm not sure. Many Youtube videos about this, for sure. It's so new, it'll die soon if it doesn't get warm and some food. Thank you for taking care of it :-)

This is where i found it, by a plant (not totally the ground but pretty much) In a shell so maybe someone put it there? No tree directly above, very strange

Just so you know it's a myth the mother's reject them if placed back on the nest. If you find the best try putting it back.

So we've put it in the tree nearby looking after it in a make shift nest, hoping mum finds it

it might work you never know. Recently I was given a baby squirrel that fell from a tree that was being trimmed. Me and my son looked after it for an hour and then it started calling out for it's mother. We found out where it had been discovered and took it back and opened the cage. After two attempts the mother appeared and took it back home. Some cool memories and lucky squirrel. Good luck with the baby bird. Maybe there is a sanctuary in BKK?

maybe hand rear it if you have a balcony. My fried just hatched and egg in a home made nest in an IKEA tree lol. The bird hatched and the flew away.
